1. Who is the Racial Justice Centre

RJC is a not-for-profit founded by lawyers with lived experiences. RJC’s purpose is to eliminate racism and racial injustice, using the legal system, education and reform. 2. Duties

Reporting to the Managing Director, this role’s duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manging volunteer law students
  • Building legal resources around discrimination law
  • Developing a strategic plan around service delivery
  • Building a team of volunteer lawyers to meet the unmet need in the community
  • Training, supervising, and mentoring a team of volunteer lawyers
  • Providing advice and representation to clients with discrimination claims and other ancillary claims where necessary

3. Attributes

  • The ideal candidate must:
  • be admitted to practice as a lawyer in an Australian jurisdiction
  • have least 5 years PAE
  • have litigation experience
  • have knowledge of discrimination law, preferably
