Are you curious about volunteering for the emergency services in a non-frontline role? We are looking for an organised and focussed individual to join our dedicated group of volunteers.  If you enjoy meeting new people, learning new skills, supporting your local community, and are interested in applying your skills in a challenging new environment then we would love to hear from you!

VFRS volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local community is safe by undertaking various functions in both operational and non-operational roles.  We are looking for a flexible and dedicated volunteer to undertake the role of Brigade Membership Officer and carry out the following tasks:

  • Promote the recruitment of new members
  • Assist new volunteers to complete membership applications
  • Carry out necessary induction and onboarding processes
  • Provide ongoing support for new members transitioning to full membership
  • Liaise with DFES regional office as required
