Work as part of a team member with the volunteer Committee members. Prepare monthly Board agenda and minutes. Follow up as required with outcomes from meetings. Computer skills required. Be familiar with DROPBOX. Fulfilling CHOB Annual reporting requirements to Australian Charities Commission. Confidentiality is important.

Compassionate Hearts on the Bellarine provides a volunteer visitor/companionship role to people with a life limiting condition. The volunteers usually visit the person in their own home on a weekly or less basis. The volunteer will enable respite for the carer of the person with the condition. CHOB provides this service to people living in the townships on the Bellarine Peninsula. The volunteers also live on the Bellarine Peninsula. People are referred to CHOB either by the Palliative Care team, self referral or referred by a family member or friend. All volunteers are trained by CHOB at training sessions. CHOB has a Volunteer Co-ordinator who is also a volunteer. The Committee meetings are held monthly at the Point Lonsdale Bowling Club on the third Wednesday of the month at 5pm and usually finish within an hour and a half. A $10.00 annual membership is required to cover volunteers untie CHOB insurance policy. A police check is also required which CHOB will pay for.
