Aged Care - Social Volunteer - Summerland Point - Grid Iron/NRL/Action Movie Fan
HammondCare Central Coast
As a HammondCare At Home volunteer, you’ll spend time with someone in your local community who may be lonely or socially isolated. We're looking for caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with elderly people in their own homes.
Our Client in Summerland Point is looking for a Social Volunteer who enjoys watching the Grid Iron, Tennis, Colombo, Death in Paradise and NRL. Past interests include boating and fishing and he would like to meet someone to chat with or enjoy some tv viewing together.
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with. The Community Visitor Scheme is a Federal Government initiative established to promote links between elderly people and their local community.
To be referred to this role an interview with Volunteering Central Coast is required. You will be contacted soon to arrange a mutually convenient time and place.
