Forever Friends Animal Rescue is looking for a skilled Accounts Officer to maintain its financial records and manage the organisation’s QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

FFAR is in the process of implementing a new CRM, along with reviewing some financial processes, therefore this role would suit a candidate that is flexible and can adapt to a changing environment.

This is a voluntary role.

COMMENCEMENT Ideally, the incoming Accounts Officer would commence in late March 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Manage FFAR’s QuickBooks Online (QBO) account including: a) Raising and paying invoices b) Allocating incoming transactions from bank accounts to GL account and allocate GST where necessary
  • Manage bank reconciliations monthly
  • Manage credit cards and transfer funds where needed
  • Provide monthly and year-to-date balance sheets, as well as monthly and YTD Profit and Loss statements to the Treasurer
  • Monitor emails and action accordingly
  • Reconcile monthly PayPal reports and transfer
  • Monitors FFAR’s expenses and ensure financial protocols are implemented and adhered to
  • Liaise with Insurance Broker and/or third parties in relation to operational matters as required
  • Assist FFAR Management Committee members, staff members and volunteers in relation to the management of financial matters (such as the payment of animal adoption fees and financial aspects of grant acquittal processes).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Prior experience in a similar role with a not-for-profit or charity
