RSPCA NSW Community Programs Transport Volunteer - Yagoona and Greater Sydney - # 192756
RSPCA NSWYou will provide assistance by completing home visits, including bathing or grooming the animal, feeding the pet at home while the owner is in hospital, giving medication or providing transport for the pet to and from the RSPCA Yagoona veterinary clinic.
As a Community Volunteer, you will help provide support to those owners and pets in need, gaining valuable animal handling skills and community service experience. RSPCA NSW will ensure that you receive appropriate training and will provide ongoing support for other opportunities within the organisation, if required.
Volunteering in this role looks like

Transport animals to/from shelters, client’s homes, and our veterinary clinic for appointments

Home visits to bathe or groom animals

Feed the pet at home while the owner is in hospital

Administer medication to animals as required

Comply with all Work Health and Safety (WHS) guidelines

Understand and comply with RSPCA NSW policies and procedures
