Role purpose

Coordinate, administer, and analyse surveys to understand EWB’s effectiveness and impact.

Summary

EWB is looking for volunteer Research Assistants with great initiative to coordinate, administer, and analyse two key surveys to assess its effectiveness and impact for the 2022-2023 financial year:

  • Supporter Survey: Administered to EWB’s supporter network to understand their perceptions of the organisation.
  • Operational Staff Survey: Administered to EWB’s internal staff to understand their experiences with organisational processes and systems.

This role may be filled by 1 or 2 volunteers, depending on the skillsets and availability of candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with EWB staff members to design relevant survey questions
  • Administer surveys online to appropriate target audiences
  • Clean and analyse quantitative and qualitative survey results
  • Compile findings and interpretations into a final report by 31 May 2023
  • Support a reflection of recommendations with key internal stakeholders

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Experience in designing and administering online surveys
  • Experience in cleaning and generating basic statistics from quantitative data
  • Experience in cleaning and generating basic themes from qualitative data
  • Experience compiling research/survey results into a report for dissemination
  • Ability to communicate in clear, accessible language both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage and prioritise work independently in accordance with timelines
  • Organised with a strong attention to detail

Desirable

  • Experience with Formstack, SPSS, and/or NVivo
  • Training or relevant experience in market research, research methods, statistics, and/or not-for-profit relations
  • Committed and enthusiastic team player, with the ability to collaborate with other EWB teams across the organisations
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn
