VMCH is currently welcoming applications to volunteer in concierge roles at VMCH Residential Ages care Homes. You would welcome and farewell visitors, help visitors with the check-in process, and provide information and direction about the home. A Concierge helps to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere whilst making each visitors check in smooth and stress-free and this assistance helps to streamline the connect for residents to family and friends.

A little bit about us, we’re a Catholic not for profit organisation, providing services to 7,600 people across Victoria. VMCH services are as diverse as the people we support. Every day of the year our teams provide a wide range of support from early learning and therapy, specialist education, disability services, affordable homes, residential aged care, retirement living and at-home aged care.

We don’t need you to have experience we just want you to be an active part of our team and engage in the role with enthusiasm and positivity. As a Concierge you will • be a good communicator – speak clearly and provide information. • Have a welcoming smile, outgoing and friendly personality. • Welcome each visitor – be warm and friendly on arrival & departure of visitors.
• Assist visitors with the check in process, check visitors have completed all entry requirements. • Provide directions around the home, guiding and orientating visitors. • Support the home with photocopying, collating, laminating as needed. • Provide a nonjudgmental and respectful environment for visitors. • Be a positive ambassador and representative of VMCH.

Concierge can volunteer for the whole day or ½ days. Shifts commence at 9.30am and can continue through until either 3 or 4.00pm Volunteering even a small amount of time can have a major and direct impact on the lives of others. You could be a student, looking for work in the industry, a retiree or just have some time to gift.
