MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll, have a cuppa and chat, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

Would you like to visit an older person in an Aged Care Home or in their own home and make a real difference in their life? Have you got some time and conversation to share to reduce loneliness?

We are seeking a female visitor for a lovely 75 year old lady who lives in her own home in Hoppers Crossing. She would enjoy having 1:1 conversation and occasionally go out for coffee into the community. She loves playing bingo, reading, listening to music and tending to her veggie garden.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to weekly connections/visits or at least fortnightly connections/visits for a minimum of 12 months/ongoing.

Virtual visits (phone calls, letters, emails, postcards ) are vital and help continue connections during periods of visiting restrictions.
