Telephone Helpline Support Volunteer - Online - SYDNEY RESIDENTS ONLY - # 191873
Listening Ear is a non-critical, confidential helpline with trained, caring volunteers who offer support, understanding and a friendly ear. We are not counsellors, but we use our life experience, empathy and listening skills to help people in the community who are upset, worried or lonely and just want someone to talk to. Calls are confidential. We do not judge. We do not ask for personal information. We do not promise to solve problems. It is surprising how nice it is to be heard by someone who is prepared to LISTEN.
Volunteers in the Sydney area with empathy, life experience and a desire to give back to the community only should apply.
