Who are AnglicareSA looking for?

They are calling out for Volunteers who have a passion for supporting our communities and want to give back in a meaningful way.

In this role you will be required to respond to practical needs by providing relief through the provision of food, clothing, support, and advocate for individuals & families who need assistance.

If this role sounds like something you could sink your teeth into and you have some spare time to give back to your local community, then they would love to hear from you!

What can you expect to be doing?

  • Ability to use initiative and work within the boundaries, procedures and guidelines
  • Provide financial and material aid to clients in consultation with the Coordinator
  • Provide appropriate advice, information and referral of clients
  • Ensure clients are receiving all entitled benefits and concessions
  • Provide accurate and timely data entry support including other administrative tasks

What do you need to bring?

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience, empathy and the willingness to help.
  • Relate well with people from a variety of different backgrounds.
  • Ability to work with compassion and in a non-judgmental and respectful manner
  • Have a working knowledge and understanding of client privacy and confidentiality
  • Make accurate and non-judgemental records of client interviews
