Calvary Flora McDonald is looking to run regular art & craft sessions at our facility located in Cowandilla. These will run weekly on a morning or afternoon. These sessions are created for our residents to have a safe space where they can meet friends or make new friends whilst having some fun and taught some new skills. It’s a great social connection session for those who are socially isolated, lonely or looking to make meet their fellow residents and make new friends. We require a volunteer who can assist staff with planning various recreational and social activities allowing residents a safe space to have a cuppa and chat, encouraging participants to get involved and facilitating creatively interesting art & craft sessions for the residents. The position would best suit those with patience, empathy, and a passion for positive ageing. Any training required will be provided, with ongoing support. All volunteers require a police clearance (paid for by employer) for the purposes of Aged Care, which will be facilitated by Calvary, and evidence of vaccination against influenza and Covid. If you have 2 – 5 hours to offer Monday - Friday we would love to hear from you. In return we can offer a rewarding opportunity to volunteer in a caring and happy environment.
