Community Safe Space Volunteer

Busselton Community Safe Space

Busselton Community Safe Space provides a warm, welcoming environment in which to reduce stress. Volunteers have their own lived experience of crisis who can connect with others through the mutual understanding that comes with meaningful shared experiences. A core-principal of the BCSS is a 'no-wrong-door' approach which aims to ensure all guests are welcomed and able to access support within the space. Busselton CSS has an agreement with the national suicide prevention agency Roses in the Ocean and is funded predominantly by the local community.

Training requirements are 2 days on-line and 1 day face-to-face prior to starting the first shift. All training is paid for by BCSS.
