Asian Australian Organisational Psychology Inc (AAOP) is a not for profit, purpose driven organisation run by a group of psychologists who specialise in leadership, health and wellbeing, and performance. We are dedicated to leveraging our expertise and lived experience to make impactful social change. We do this by partnering with a range of organisations and professionals to deliver targeted programs and initiatives to raise awareness, build capability and affect cultural change. We also consider ourselves a professional body that nurtures and supports the next generation of Asian Australian Organisational Psychologists. And lastly, we advocate for Asian Australians in the psychology community, impacting the inclusivity of how psychology programs are delivered.

About the role

As we grow and scale our impact as an organisation, we are looking for a Strategic Partnership Lead to join the AAOP team. The Strategic Partnership Lead role will be working closely with the Board and Leadership team at AAOP. The role is primarily accountable for creating and managing a portfolio of partnerships as well as evolving new business opportunities into mutually beneficial partnerships. Candidates will need to be able to commit to 4-6 hours per week as a volunteer.

Duties/Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to engage and sustain engagement with a portfolio of new corporate partners
  • Identify and research new business prospects, create compelling proposals and pitches, and present at a high level
  • Provide outstanding stewardship and account service
  • Forecast budgets and regular reporting of key outcomes to stakeholders
  • Support the continuous improvement of operations, processes and ethical fundraising practices

Skills/Experiences/Attributes

  • Partnerships fundraising experience or strong commercial sales experience desirable
  • Proven success managing accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including networking skills, stakeholder management, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive approach to finding and recommending solutions
  • Have a test and learn attitude, able to adopt new processes and systems
  • Passionate about promoting cultural equity for Asian Australians and other CALD communities.
