Asian Australian Organisational Psychology Inc (AAOP) is a not for profit, purpose driven organisation run by a group of psychologists who specialise in leadership, health and wellbeing, and performance. We are dedicated to leveraging our expertise and lived experience to make impactful social change. We do this by partnering with a range of organisations and professionals to deliver targeted programs and initiatives to raise awareness, build capability and affect cultural change. We also consider ourselves a professional body that nurtures and supports the next generation of Asian Australian Organisational Psychologists. And lastly, we advocate for Asian Australians in the psychology community, impacting the inclusivity of how psychology programs are delivered.

About the role

We are looking for a passionate People and Culture (P&C) professional to join the AAOP team as the P&C Consultant. The P&C Consultant role will be primarily accountable for the design, implementation and delivery of specific P&C projects which align with the direction of AAOP Inc. This may involve assisting in the development of the broader network of Asian Australian psychologists via targeted development initiatives and projects (e.g., careers events), and ongoing Human Resources operations activity throughout the employee lifecycle for volunteers internally within AAOP. Candidates will need to be able to commit to 3-6 hours per week as a volunteer.

Duties/Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Delivering key projects such as careers events, networking events, engagement surveys and much more.
  • Project management of strategic P&C projects and deliverables.
  • Engage in the development and implementation of programs across the employee lifecycle, such as the development of learning pathways, performance management.

Skills/Experiences/Attributes

  • Bachelor degree (or studying) in Psychology, Human Resources or related.
  • Passionate about promoting cultural equity for Asian Australians.
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a flexible and ambiguous environment.
