About The Good Box: The Good Box is a charity and social enterprise that provides boxes filled with essential items for people experiencing homelessness. We also facilitate homelessness education programs for schools and businesses. Each box also contains a handwritten note to facilitate communication and instil dignity for those experiencing homelessness. Receiving a Good Box can significantly improve someone’s day and give them the strength to persevere through some tough nights. We are a small organisation, currently in a massive growth phase in order to reach our goal of helping 100,000+ people experiencing homelessness by 2027!

About the role: No experience required. Onboarding and induction training provided! The Good Box is looking for event volunteers to help assist with our corporate and school box packing events. In these events we work with groups from various organisations and schools to educate them about homelessness and pack boxes to provide to people experiencing homelessness!

• You will help with event set up and pack up, packing boxes, and other logistical related activities as needed
• You will help lead other volunteers on how to set up items/boxes before an event & facilitate pack up after
• Check that boxes have been packed properly and help program attendees where required
• Some product drop off / pick up may be required
• This is an ad-hoc position that will take 2-3 hours of your time, which typically occur 1-2 times a month
• You would need to be available between normal business hours (9-5:30pm), but we will give you plenty of notice to arrange your schedule.

About you:

• You are available regularly during business hours
• You don't mind driving to different locations for an event
• You are passionate and enthusiastic!
• You don't mind getting your hands a little dirty (or sweaty!)
