Community visitor Social volunteer, BathurstHammondCare Australia
Volunteering with HammondCare at Home in Bathurst is one way you can give something back to the aged or frail in our society. We are looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest. You may want to spend some time in the garden, play cards, listen to music or do some arts and craft activities.
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the clients you are matched with.
The Community Visitor Scheme (CVS) is a Federal Government initiative established to promote links between elderly people and their local community.
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare.
