Young Diggers Ltd is an ESO charity/NFP that support Veterans and First Responders ( who have PTSD and mental health trauma) and their families.

YD support Veterans with Assistance Dogs in the YD Dog Squad Program. YD provides obedience and assistance dog training and in partnership with Veteran Organisations provide welfare to our members.

YD is client focused and provides ongoing case management with other agencies, as required, with the objective to support participants to live independently and with dignity. There is not a one size fits all and each person and their AD are unique.

The Secretary for a small not-for-profit includes :

  • keeping a written record of the decisions in the minutes

  • managing record keeping

  • administration

  • governance

  • membership. (board and committee).

Your skills with writing, people, reporting and facilitating productive meetings are wonderful if you have them and if you dont then it's an opportunity to learn something new.

Ex-Serving ADF, First Responder are highly valued and appreciated.

There are opportunities to gain industry skills and YD will support training initiatives in the field of Community Services, Mental Health and Dog Training. YD is currently involved with upgrading internal systems and website so an inclination towards process , IT and admin procedures will be highly regarded. Barista skills also most welcome.

This may be a good role for someone wanting to get back into the workforce by giving back to the community.
