About the role 

This is an exciting volunteer role and will support the end-to-end delivery of a major event campaign by ensuring that we have the necessary collateral for our supporters, to promote our events and have exciting social media posts. 

Reporting to one of our talented Community Fundraising Coordinator’s, the position of Canva and Marketing Support will be responsible for developing content in Canva using Cancer Council's branding materials. 

  This Canva & Marketing Support role is one day a week with a starting commitment of 6-9 months with the potential to stay on longer. Based in one of our community offices, this role has the option for a flexible working arrangement (working from home and the office).  

A normal day of volunteering will include: 

  • Participate in weekly team meetings and report back on assigned tasks 
  • Develop content in Canva with CCNSW branding  
  • Support the delivery of a campaign’s social media plan 
  • Working with our supporters, provide friendly customer service and help  

About You 

Our ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation, along with: 

  • Creativity and a ‘can do’ approach to life 
  • Confidence using the phone on a regular basis & liaising with stakeholders 
  • An interest in events, marketing and the not-for-profit sector 
  • High level computer literacy in Microsoft Office and using online platforms
