Time Required: The role is flexible and can suit your availability – ideally candidates can volunteer on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and work in-office.

Cure Cancer funds early-career cancer researchers who are working across cancers and ALL areas of cancer research. We invest in the brightest innovators in cancer research, supporting researchers at the start of their careers, when few other funding bodies will take the chance. Over the past 55 years, Cure Cancer has raised $87m to support 540 lifesaving research grants across all cancer types. Our vision is to make this the last generation to die from cancer.

The Role:

The Administration Assistant’s role focuses on, providing administration assistance to the Office Manager & the Technology team, including assisting with all office & operational tasks in relation to general business, the overall daily support of the Salesforce database, donation processing & customer service support.

Key activities include:

Office Administration • Collection, opening, distribution & dispatch of daily mail & arranging couriers • Coordinating & maintaining office stationery & equipment supplies • Classifying, indexing & maintaining filing & archiving systems • Preparation of letters, reports & general assistant duties. • Maintaining tidiness of the office & meeting rooms. • Ad hoc assistant support for Office Manager.

IT & Database • Data entry, updating & maintaining the supporter Salesforce database • Daily processing, importing & reconciliation of income from various sources into Salesforce database & preparation of receipts & letters

Skills & Experience: • Relevant practical experience across a broad spectrum of administrative duties. • Advanced MS Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Familiarity with Database systems like Salesforce. • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Good time management and organisational skills with strong attention to detail
