**If you’re interested in connecting with older people who are socially isolated, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for volunteers who are creative thinkers and committed to supporting people to live their best lives. Help older people with their goals around staying independent, healthy and connected to their community.

You may be interested in a connection with Charles. Charles describes himself as a passionate golf and travel enthusiast. Charles enjoys watching documentaries, reading and listening to music. Charles is seeking a volunteer with similar interests to provide regular contact and social outings. The selected volunteer will be willing to provide conversation, companionship and creatively reconnect Charles to his interests and community. Connecting with Charles may involve visiting him at home, having a chat over the phone, meeting up for a coffee and/or sharing a skill. It might involve checking out what’s on offer at a local neighbourhood centre, library or an activity of interest.

We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities. If you are interested in more information about Volunteering in our Social Support Program, connecting to Charles or another person in your area, please phone 13 93 75 and quote JE-S-01.
