Volunteers required to provide support with administrative tasks and office duties with the finance department in Home Care Packages (HCP).

*About Home Care Packages:

Home Care Packages are one of the ways that older Australians can access affordable care services to acquire some support at home. They are designed for those with more complex care needs that go beyond what the Commonwealth Home Support Programme can provide. A Home Care Package is a government-subsidised program for eligible seniors designed to help older Australians who want to stay at home for longer. It allows them to access long-term coordinated support services which helps them continue living independently and confidently in their own home.*

Specific Duties:

The volunteer will:

• Perform administration tasks and office duties in MS Outlook, Excel, Turnpoint and Oracle NetSuite. This includes data entry and collection, filing, scanning and creation of documents accurately and in a timely manner to ensure operations run smoothly

• Level 1 – Data entry of invoices into the HCP Turnpoint system (continuous). Process invoices received from vendors into the HCP TurnPoint system so that they can be sent to the Accounts Payable Department for payment

• Level 2 – Statement checking and requesting of missing invoices. Checking if the invoices on the statements from the vendor have been received. If not, follow-up required with the vendor for invoices

• Level 3 – Creating credit memos. Creating credit memos in NetSuite for payments to be refunded

• Level 4 – Creating refund memos from Credit memos. Further processing of a credit memo which will ensure a refund is actioned

• Level 5 – Depending on the successful completion of the previous four functions, there is scope for further training and application in advanced tasks in the TurnPoint system including data analysis

Skills and Attributes:

The volunteer demonstrates:

• Administrative skills and/or previous office experience

• Understanding of Finance principles

• MS Excel (Basic Functions)

• Attention to detail

• Problem solving skills

• Good written skills and fluent English speaking

• Professional phone manner
