**If you’re interested in connecting with older people who are socially isolated, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for volunteers who are creative thinkers and committed to supporting people to live their best lives. Help older people with their goals around staying independent, healthy and connected to their community.

You may be interested in a connection with Soula. Soula has had a successful career as an academic, inspiring minds on subjects including Art and History. Soula has travelled extensively and written several novels during her career. Since retiring, Soula has fostered her love of art through landscape painting, craft, ceramics and mosaic. Soula has also spent many hours dedicating her time volunteering at her local neighbourhood house to inspire and share her knowledge and love of art, culture and history with others. Soula would love to be connected with a like-minded art enthusiast who would enjoy spending time lost in conversation over the potter’s wheel or behind a canvas. Connecting with Soula may also involve visiting her at home, having a chat over the phone or meeting up for a coffee in her local community.

We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities. If you are interested in more information about Volunteering in our Social Support Program, connecting to Soula or another person in your area, please phone 13 93 75 and quote SS-GEN-FLE Name changed for privacy.
