Thank you for your interest in registering as a Group Activity Facilitator with Wesley Mission Queensland at our St Marks aged care community at Chermside. The Group Activity Facilitator is responsible for facilitating the scheduled activity for residents including setting up and packing away of resources. Activities can include bingo, board games, discussion groups, reading a book, men’s shed, craft, singalong or an activity of your choice, all ideas are welcome! These activities assist residents with improving fitness levels, promoting a sense of well-being, and encouraging community connectedness. Most importantly they bring joy and create smiles!

All our volunteers follow a COVID-19 safe work plan and provide proof they are up to date with three COVID-19 vaccinations before they are registered in their role.

Volunteers will also be required to have a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance and Blue Card Combined check prior to commencement. This can be applied for through Wesley Mission Queensland at no cost to you.
