As a member of scouts you could find yourself on adventurous activities including hikes, ziplining, camping and orienteering. Ashmore Scout Group is fortunate to have a strong team of adult volunteers and are an example of how a community and the Scouting movement can work together for our youth.

As an Adult in Scouting you will receive top quality training to help you lead our youth sections but also for career advancement or personal progression! You have the opportunity to complete heavily reduced VET Training & paid for Adventurous Activity Training. All Adults of Ashmore Scout Group have their membership fee & training fees paid for by us so there is no cost to you! Have a kid that wants to join scouting? As an adult leader you'll even get discounts for them too!

As Chair some tasks you will undertake are:

• Provide support to the Group Leader in managing the group
• Lead and chair the support committee
• Assist in the planning of the annual report presentation
• Chair the annual report presentation
• Provide support to the committee to fulfil their roles
• Attend monthly meetings (online & in person options)

This role requires only 3-4 hours of work a month!

No experience or qualifications needed! Just a can do attitude!
