About Us:

Little Things for Tiny Tots distributes new and pre-loved essential baby items to WA families in need. We provide a box of “little things” to assist families to care for their newborn with items such as clothing, blankets, nappies, wipes, toys and books. Our volunteers collect and package donations into New Baby Boxes which are distributed via existing support services and government agencies.

It is the responsibility of the Finance Officer to undertake tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Provide transactional support for finance related planning, budgeting and reporting activities
  • Monitor all bank deposits and payments
  • Managing records and receipts
  • Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes
  • Process financial data to contribute to and support financial audits and Committee reports
  • Process accounts receivable and payable invoices
  • Process credit card payments
  • Track grant funding expenditures and report unspent funds to Operations Team
  • Track fundraising income and expenditure
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly reports and annual reports
  • Assist with annual audit requirements
  • Action reimbursement process for purchases made by committee members and approved Operations Team items

6 - 8 hours per month and work from home.

This role requires: Good administrative skills Good communication and organisational skills Be trustworthy, methodical and reliable Be comfortable with cloud based accounting software Be responsive and able to work within a small team Personal commitment to the mission of Little Things.

Highly desirable but not essential:

  • Qualification in, or studying towards, an accounting degree.
  • Experience in accounts payable or receivable
