About the role

The Community and Events Volunteer is an integral part of the Community and Events team and is responsible for supporting people in the community in their efforts to raise funds through ASRC events.

We are currently recruiting for short term opportunities in February and March 2023 supporting the ASRC’s Feast For Freedom event. The main tasks will include making welcome calls and packing welcome kits for Feast For Freedom participants.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with individuals and workplaces that wish to raise funds through Feast for Freedom
• Pack welcome kits and post to fundraisers
• Monitor and respond to event related emails
• Where appropriate, support ad-hoc administrative and project tasks

Location

ASRC Footscray.

Volunteer Shifts

Shifts are available Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm.

What we're looking for

• Attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good communication skills
• Good computer literacy skills, particularly Excel and Google Sheets
• Previous experience in an administration or customer service role
• Confidence in making phone calls
• Strong command of English
