Our Gold Coast Vision Australia Physios and Occupational Therapists coordinate fun events in the community for blind & low vision youth. Some events for primary age, others high school age. These include going to parks, shopping centres, movies, cafes. While these a good fun for the kids, they are also great opportunities for kids to implement new skills to be able to successfully navigate these environments. We are looking for volunteers to provide some extra support to the team on these days via joining in the activities and helping the staff supervise the kids.
There will be some light admin to do in the weeks leading up to the events, usually emails and reminder calls to participants. the team will have a calendar for the next 6 -12 months ahead.
