Uniting AgeWell Homeshare connects Householders with Homeshare Volunteers to support older people to continue living at home and stay connected to their community.

Homeshare Volunteers provide 10 hrs/week of practical support (companionship and help around the home) in exchange for free rent. This may involve cooking, cleaning, light gardening and shopping. No personal care or medication administration involved. Homesharers contribute a small amount towards utilities.

We currently have a Homeshare opportunity located in Clayton South. You will be provided with a private room in a welcoming 3 bedroom, fully furnished property close to local cafes, restaurants and shops. Householder is a very welcoming person with a good support network of family around them. This opportunity is for individuals only.

Only suitable applicants are interviewed as part of a comprehensive screening and onboarding process. This includes: National Police Check, Working with Children Check, 3 reference checks, statutory declaration, Volunteer Agreement & Eligibility checklist.

We are looking for a responsible Volunteer who has good communications skills and would enjoy the company of an older person. We provide regular and ongoing support to both Homesharer and Householder.
