The Interchange Host Program provides flexible opportunities for individuals and families to share regular experiences with a young person. Carers and clients are individually matched which allows relationships to be formed and strengthened as the match proceeds. Host Carers may be married, single, with or without children. They may have had previous experience with children who have disabilities, however this is not essential as training and support is provided. Hosts provide care for a young person on a regular basis such as one weekend a month, one day a fortnight or a few hours each week.
