The Museum is a not for profit organisation and is seeking a person to undertake the role of Company Secretary. This is an executive committee position and you'll therefore be undertaking a key position on the committee.

Tasks include attending a once-a-month committee meeting, recording and writing the minutes and creating the agenda. With some training, prepare paperwork for the AGM, record nominations and distribute by email.

  • Attend and record minutes during the once-monthly committee meeting, including writing the agenda.
  • Document discussions, decisions, and action items in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of meeting minutes, capturing all relevant points discussed.
  • Distribute meeting minutes to committee members by email prior to each monthly meeting.
  • Manage filing and all associated documents. A template exists so you can fill in the content.

You’ll bring:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in note-taking and summarising discussions.
  • Organisational skills to maintain a systematic record of meeting minutes.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite.

The role can be expanded depending upon your interest and available time. For this specific role, you can simply attend on the day of the meeting (am hours) and type the minutes from home.
