Our Mount Isa Cart Crew are a dedicated team who are committed to providing comfort and compassion to children undergoing treatment at Mount Isa Hospital and their families. Through our rounds in the Paediatric Ward, we strive to make a positive impact by offering various items and, most importantly, smiles!

Our Cart Crew distributes the following items to children and their families:

• Snacks (biscuits, tuna and crackers, popcorn, muesli bars, shelf-ready microwave meals, etc)
• Boredom busters (activity/colouring in books, toys, magazines, reading books)
• Water
• Personal hygiene essentials

Beyond their invaluable role in operating our Mount Isa Hospitality Cart, our Cart Crew members extend additional support the re-stocking and collection of items for the cart, helping to ensure a seamless service to the Mount Isa Hospital Paediatric Ward. Importantly, no clinical training is required for this role, just a kind heart and willingness to lend a friendly ear.

At RMHC North Australia, we prioritise the well-being of our volunteers. To support our dedicated team, we offer access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and comprehensive online training via our online learning platform.

Volunteers will need to complete the following:

• Blue Card Check (Working With Children Check)
• National Crime Check (NCC)
• Complete an online induction and a buddy shift
