This volunteer opportunity will help to enhance the well-being of people in our care through attending centre based activities and going on outings.

Volunteers supporting this centre need to be mature, have patience and a gentle nature. The people in our care at this centre are all living with some form of cognitive impairment, mainly dementia and our staff and volunteers provide a range of opportunities for enjoyable activities and interactions.

The centre is equipped with all the necessary resources to design stimulating activities; it has several breakout areas for comfortable conversations and has a beautiful garden and outdoor area. Volunteers are valued members of this team and always provided with support and guidance.

Tasks involved include: ▪ Providing support on the bus that brings our clients to and from the centre ▪ Assisting Lifestyle staff to prepare for activities and outings ▪ Supporting the people in our care to get the most out of the activities or outings ▪ Assisting staff to clear away after activities and keep the centre neat and tidy ▪ Report and concerns
