CISVic member agencies are place-based local community agencies that provide a range of critical wrap-around support services to Victorians needing help with financial and personal matters.

We are looking for dedicated and reliable people to volunteer as Energy Mentors and provide support to Victorians experiencing energy hardship. Through the position, you will learn about: • what makes a good energy deal and where to find it • what support is available to help households manage their energy bills

Putting your knowledge and skills to use in the community, you will: • assist people to access the $250 Power Saving Bonus • provide support to enable those experiencing energy bill difficulties to understand and take control of their energy bills

Role requirements: • a time commitment of 1 day per week or 5 hours a week (days of the week flexible) through to 30 June 2023 • ability to attend energy training online • prior knowledge of energy is not required

Locations: We are looking for volunteers that will work within the following region and be based in one of the listed suburbs or towns: • Western region – Laverton • Eastern region – Box Hill, Lilydale • Northern region – Coburg • South East region – Oakleigh • Melbourne (this position will sit within the Council of Single Mothers and their Children and working from a self-help model, CSMC only engage women who are or have been single mothers. This falls within the exception contained in section 28 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010). • Inner South region – Prahran • Regional – Leongatha
