MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

We have an 83 year old gentleman who lives in his own home and he would really enjoy a visitor to share in conversation and walks around the local area. He previously worked in the Air Force and his interests include metaphysics and electrics.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to weekly connections/visits or at least fortnightly connections/visits for a minimum of 12 months/ongoing.

Good English communication skills are required for this recipient, however volunteers with other languages willing to be matched to same language are very welcome to enquire
