Kelvin is a lovely elderly gentleman would love a social visitor for a friendly chat to brighten his day. Kelvin is originally from Sydney and worked as a builder and bricklayer. He enjoys going out in the garden, playing on his computer and reminiscing about his life and travels, and walking to the local shops for a cuppa.

If you have good Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with elderly people then this could be the volunteer role for you.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme is funded by the Australian Government. Established to promote links between people living in an aged care facility and their local community. The aim of the scheme is to improve residents' quality of life for those who have limited family, cultural and social contact and may be at risk of social isolation.
