PRE APPLICATION INFORMATION

Since we recognise the important role our volunteers play, we are careful about who we recruit – our callers are worth the very best, most exceptional care possible. Therefore, we screen carefully to make sure you’re the right fit for PHA Helpline and that we’re the right fit for you!

SHORTLISTING. At the close of the intake period, the volunteer coordinator will call those applicants being considered for an interview. Please note: If your application is not successful at this point, you will receive an email, but individual feedback cannot be provided - but we thank you for your application and encourage you to re-apply in the future.

INTERVIEW + SELECTION. Individuals whose application is considered a strong possible fit for the role and the organisation are offered interviews. A successful interview, followed by confirmation from referees will result in the offer of a volunteer role.

Applications that are not successful after the interview/s will be notified by email. Individuals successfully completing the interview process will be notified verbally and offered a volunteer position. The offer of this position remains dependent on the successful confirmation of additional requirements (two referees, availability for training, ongoing commitment etc).

PROBATION + REVIEW. All volunteers commence with an initial 3-month probation period, during which time they will be regularly supervised by the PHA Helpline Coordinator. A review will be held after the first 3 months to ensure this role is a good fit for the volunteer and PHA, and to provide an opportunity for feedback.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
