Covenant Care is a day hospice for people with life limiting illness. It runs on most Mondays from February-December. Clients attend from 9.30am-3.30pm, and are provided with meals, entertainment and activities.

The Activities coordinator works in consultation with the Registered Nurse and the Program Manager, and takes overall responsibility for the activities which are provided for the clients at Covenant Care Day Hospice. They also lead and support other volunteers assisting with the activities program.

A typical day at Covenant Care looks something like this:

9.30am - clients arrive and are provided with morning tea. 10.00am - Activities coordinator ensures that clients have access to reading material or other activities (card games, colouring in, word searches etc) 10.30am - seated Tai Chi (external provider) 11.00am - external entertainer (roster run by Activities coordinator) 12 midday - lunch 1pm - quiet time (clients may sleep, read, or attend an optional prayer/communion service) 2pm - group games (run by Activities coordinator or their assistant)
