Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre (CNC) is a supportive inclusive Neighbourhood House that promotes community connection and well-being through life-long learning, friendship, and support. We are seeking individuals who can contribute to developing our Centre into a thriving community-led organisation for all ages.
CNC is soon to move into a new facility that provides significant opportunities for growth. We have a vision, and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who have a passion to develop the Centre's role in the local community. Previous Board experience is desirable for this role, but not necessary, just a commitment to work as part of a team and willingness to get involved.

The fun bits: You will be working with a team of board members and staff excited by the opportunity to expand Canterbury Neighbourhood Centre into the vibrant centre of our community.

The responsible bits: You will be working with the current treasurer and the board to oversee the financial and governance responsibilities of the Centre, ensuring its legal and financial obligations are met and that the organisation is sustainable. Working with the Manager and stakeholders develop and support the Mission, Vison and Values of CNC and set the strategic direction.
