Volunteer Visitor (Sport/Football loving) - MS Plus Community Visitors Scheme - TEMPLESTOWE
MS PlusMultiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.
Would you like to visit an older person and make a real difference in their life? Have you got some time and conversation to share to reduce loneliness?
We are seeking a community visitor for older man who lives in an aged care home and would benefit from a new male friend. He has a footy background and would love some company to watch football games together and have a chat.
You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to weekly connections/visits or at least fortnightly connections/visits for a minimum of 12 months/ongoing.
Virtual visits (phone calls, letters, emails, postcards ) are vital and help continue connections during periods of visiting restrictions.
MS believes in a person to person approach and aspire to match you with someone local with shared interests and hobbies. We look forward to hearing from you.
