The program

The NSW Growing Regions of Welcome (NSW GROW) Pilot Program aims to connect interested migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers in western Sydney with lifestyle and employment opportunities in regional NSW.

Over the next three years, NSW GROW will aim to:

• Strengthen the capability of regional communities to attract and retain newcomers,
• Assist interested newcomers in western Sydney to relocate to regional NSW.

The opportunity

This position is critical to building and maintaining relationships with our key communities and groups. Through various engagement activities, the Community Engagement Officer will raise awareness of the NSW GROW pilot program and connect with prospective clients to participate in the program. 

This role suits a highly motivated individual who is a keen communicator and is interested in working closely with members of the public from specific minority backgrounds. The individual will have the opportunity to develop key skills and experience in community engagement under the guidance of the program lead. 

The impact

As a Community Engagement Volunteer, you will play a key role in supporting the NSW GROW program and service delivery across Murray and Riverina regions.  You will work closely with our key partners and communities to drive positive community engagement and employment outcomes.
