This is an honorary (volunteer) position to record and maintain the financial accounts of Cockburn Toy Library. This would be a great opportunity for a final year accounting student to build their skills and experience or for a partially retired to pass on their knowledge. Sound knowledge of bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable, payroll and cash basis accounting. Bookkeeping diploma, tertiary accounting qualification Experience using Payroller, Square and/or The Manager. Work from Home or office space available.

Key Tasks

Receipting all membership type payments and refunds Bank account reconciliations EFT monthly creditor payment runs Accurate record management to assist with grant acquittal reports Preparation of annual financial statements End to end fortnightly payroll processing Management of PAYG and superannuation obligations Prepare annual budget Prepare yearly Treasurer report for members and committee Manage annual audit Timely processing of committee and staff reimbursements

About Cockburn Toy Library

Local families are able to join the library for a small yearly fee and borrow toys on a fortnightly basis. The facility encourages community support and interaction, child education and a great way for families to save money rather than purchasing expensive toys.
