We are a small group of retirees who run a toy lending library for the people of Ballina Shire - and we'd like you to join us. You'll be expected to work with one other volunteer to facilitate the borrowing and return of toys and games keep records of who borrowed what receive monthly fees and issue receipts. check and maintain our stock display the toys in a safe and attractive manner assist and support the parents/carers while they choose toys. No special skills or experience required but, obviously, you'll be child-friendly, patient and have a good sense of humour. You'll also need a "Working With Children" check and your own transport. Since we all have visiting grandchildren, holidays to take and a variety of other commitments - we have a very flexible roster but hope that each one of us can work at least two 3-hour shifts a month. "Behind the scenes" work is even more flexible and can entail special 'one-off' duties like stock-take, meetings and clean-ups as required.
