The program

Red Cross supports vulnerable migrants in finding employment through our Employee Pathways Program. Supporting clients from a culturally and linguistically diverse background who are facing barriers towards employment due to low levels of English.

The opportunity

This person will be involved in developing, implementing and facilitating the Teaching English Through Food EAL.

This role will suit someone who has previously been involved in teaching English as another language and is passionate about assisting participants to develop their English language skills. This role will require working as part of a team as well as one on one with clients who have been made vulnerable as a result of migration to help them learn English through cooking food in order to gain employment.

This role will suit an enthusiastic person with a passion for both food and teaching English.

The impact

As a volunteer in the Employment Pathways program, you will be making a big impact on the lives of those who have been made vulnerable as a result of migration. You will be supporting their transformation from destitution to a life of independence and fulfilment. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World's largest humanitarian network.

Application Requirements

To submit this application, you will be required to upload a recent copy of your CV and provide details for two professional references.
