We are searching for a friendly, engaging Volunteer Visitor for Eddie who is in his 80's, active and lives independently. He would like to have a mature age, lady visitor to share his interests in music, books and dancing. This position requires patience, compassion and reliability. Volunteer Visitors are required to visit their older friend on a fortnightly basis (weekly where possible), on an ongoing basis sharing mutual interests and building a friendship. Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people to feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.
