Youth Driver Trainer Mentor (3046)

Volunteer driving mentors support young people (16 - 25) who are wanting to obtain their Provisional Licence. Mentors support Learner Drivers to obtain 120hrs of driving time in their logbook before they undertake the Provisional Licence test. Vehicles are supplied and learners will have completed 5-10 hrs. of professional instruction prior to being placed with a Driving Mentor. Working with children & criminal history checks required. Organisation will assist to obtain checks if required.

This program is run by a well-known local organisation that has a long history of helping young people to overcome adversity. Volunteers will have the opportunity to play a role in helping young people to increase their employment prospects, gain confidence and develop independent life skills. It will also help you gain experience, skills and knowledge in a highly supportive environment. We care about our volunteers and are dedicated to ensuring your experience is both rewarding and memorable. You can go home every day knowing you’ve contributed to something special.

Volunteers are intrinsic to the success of the program and participant; they will be providing much needed on-going support and mentorship to program participants. To help set volunteers up for success, they will be provided with necessary training, on-going support and become a valued member of our team. WHS and safeguarding training are provided. Organisation induction and procedural training.
