Are you fluent in Italian and able to provide friendship and companionship to a resident at our dementia care specialist aged care facility in Maddington?

MercyCare is seeking a Volunteer Social Companion who is fluent in Italian to join our Maddington Residential aged care site.

The role requires the volunteer to be a good communicator, develop rapport quickly, enjoy conversations and being around older people. You must have experience working with people living with dementia and understand the difficulties that they face. The purpose of the role is to enhance the quality of life for our residents to reduce loneliness and isolation. It is an important role to maintain a residents good mental health to reduce stress and slowing cognitive decline.
