Community Stall Volunteer - 19 November
Living Proud WAVolunteers are required to staff community stalls on 19 November, providing information about Living Proud, QLife and other LGBTIQ+ support services. LGBTIQ+ community members and allies are encouraged to apply. LGBTIQ+ awareness training is available to volunteers who need upskilling in this area. All volunteers must attend a briefing meeting in the week prior to the volunteering dates (19 November) and are also encouraged to attend a Living Proud Volunteer Information Session (2 hours) Gain valuable experience in information provision, provide opportunities for education in LGBTIQ+ identities/issues and assist with this fundraising opportunity for Living Proud
Key Tasks
Staff an information stall -
*Provide verbal information and written resources about Living Proud, QLife and other LGBTIQ+ support services
*Answer questions about LGBTIQ+ identities and services (a staff member will be present to assist, if required)
*Run activities, sell raffle tickets, etc at the stall.
About Living Proud
Living Proud has provided support to LGBTIQ+ people and communities in WA for over 40 years. We are the WA partner of the QLife national LGBTIQ+ telephone and web chat peer-support and referral service. We also run health and wellbeing initiatives, community capacity building and provide information about LGBTIQ+ identities and issues to the wider community.
