Girl Guides Qld
Logo for Girl Guides Qld

Our volunteer Leaders help the girls (and each other) to grow into confident, self-respecting, responsible community members through our focus on fundamentals such as community service, leadership, self-awareness and teamwork - these are skills that will last them a lifetime.

Being a Unit Leader or Assistant Unit Leader is a rewarding experience. It offers personal development and the chance to make a difference to girls' lives. It's great addition to a resume that demonstrates leadership, communication and organisational skills. For those on the Duke of Edinburgh journey, know that there are plenty of opportunities at Moreton Bay Girl Guides to fulfil the Community Service component.

You will join an existing group of passionate Volunteer Leaders for initial training and when you're ready there's a pathway to leading girls aged 10-15 alongside other Volunteer Leaders.

Moreton Bay Girl Guides administration functions are completed by an all-volunteer support group, who organise everything from accounting books, maintenance and fundraising - giving you time to 100% concentrate on leading our girls.

Type of work includes outdoors, skills, arts, crafts, games, basic cooking with the girls (if desired), community. Education and Training. Working with girls aged 5 to 15.

There's the flexible option of visiting a couple of meetings before committing to become a Leader.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
