This is a new role, designed to cover for volunteers who are away on planned or unplanned leave. This role involves training across a number of volunteers roles and then filling in for absent volunteers, sometimes at short notice.

This role is based in a range of areas across The Prince Charles Hospital, such as Endoscopy Procedures, Specialist Clinics & Allied Health, Cancer Care, ICU, Heart & Lung Outpatients, and various wards.

This role includes duties such as welcoming patients and visitors, assisting patients with the use of the hospital check-in machines, maintaining waiting/recovery areas, and providing admin support to staff, such as photocopying, stamping envelopes and collating Admission Packs.

This role is likely to appeal to someone who has great people skills, loves variety, is comfortable asking for assistance, enjoys learning about different areas within the hospital, and is comfortable with technology (eg the weekly roster will be online).
